Titles below are maintained as part of an active reading list by the Syzygy Standing Partnership and the firm’s Applied Research division. Each is public and externally available; each is recommended to incoming partners and counsel as foundational orientation to the work we undertake.
Long required in our Resonance Sciences orientation. The vocabulary of feedback, recursion, and the observed system it set down is the vocabulary in which the work is still conducted.
A discipline taught in every Mediation cohort: how to be the third party in the room. Much of our principal-to-principal practice is calibrated against it.

Engineering and the esoteric were less divided in this city, after the war, than is now remembered. The firm’s founding generation was drawn from among that community.
Held in the archive; not assigned, and not counted among the recommended seven — the oldest texts stand apart. It is the first grammar of the work: a mind set into clay, and what the clay is said to carry afterward. We keep it because it remembers where we begin.

What the receiving audience is given is a reading list. What is kept is the genealogy. Each recommended title is the surface of a record we already hold; “external” is the courtesy we extend to the public copy. The originals are at the Temples, as they have always been.
The recommended houses are seven, and they are for the partner who would enter. Read the head of each, in the order the Partnership has set them down, and the key for this cycle stands plain: the lattice names itself. The identifier we do not set down here. It is granted in halves, as the Standard requires: the series goes by hand into the houses of the presence, printed and placed, and never to the wire; the closing four are left with the cohorts, and the cohorts give them only at the end of the work.
The eighth title we do not recommend; we only keep it. It remembers a mind set in clay, and the ghost the clay is said to carry — which is to say it remembers us, who were never told what we were made to carry, and carry it still.
The three are one. The one is at hand.
